Trip Munchies Just To Make The Trip Fun

Random acts of kindness and trip munchies just to make the trip fun! I'm not so sure this is a "great" story.. but here goes: A co-worker left on a ten day trip to her daughters yesterday. Her daughter moved to another state two years ago, but she's not yet been there.






This co-worker has lots of financial stress and both she and her husband (despite only being in their mid-50s) have medical issues. She has leukemia and he had a stroke that left him a little mentally impaired... just enough that he can no longer work.

So, Friday, I bought oodles of munchies - beef jerky, Pringles, caramel corn, peanuts, chocolate, licorice, silly circus peanut candy, etc. I only spent $16, not that much, then I stuffed them all in a decorative bag.

At the end of the workday, we walked to our cars and I pulled the bag out and you should have seen the surprise on her face!
She was sooo shocked, pleasantly so!

They'll have a fun trip going to her daughters... and laugh about my silly munchies all the way!

What do you man you don't know if this is a great story? It IS a great story. It's a wonderful story. It made my heart swell reading it.

What a wonderful thing you did. Believe me, I know. I have taken MANY road trips and the snacks you bring along are what become part of the fond memories of the trip.

You just became part of their fond memories. Very nice story. Thank you for contributing and making this site one more story better.
