Power of Giving Beyond Adversity

by Mon
(Quezon City, Philippines)

Random acts of kindness and the Power of Giving Beyond Adversity. Recently, the Philippines was devastated with a back to back typhoon attacks and just too many people were affected by these catastrophes, which was beyond anyone's expectations.

Flood grew rampantly everywhere in major parts of Luzon. Flood went as high (even higher on some areas) than power posts.

These typhoons destroyed too many lives that the whole Philippines mourned. It's such a sad story that I don't even want to go into details of these catastrophes.

But then it's really in times like these that the power of giving is best practiced.

Virtually everyone around and even outside the Philippines tried to help those affected on their own means.

Major TV networks through their foundations, setup their own storage and distribution facilities with many volunteers devoting their precious time in order to help our "Kabayans".

Many more other civic groups did their part in the collection and distribution of donations from every part of the world; yes, from every part of the world.

At first I thought that this is because there are lots of Filipinos outside of our country but then I learned that it wasn't only Filipinos who are sending in their donations. Lots of Hollywood celebrities sent in their donations too.

Not to make the story too long. The power of giving, really helped a lot of typhoon victims here in the Philippines.

A simple act of giving that time from one person was such a big HELP to the needy and on behalf of all the victims. I thank all everyone who helped out. It really meant so much!
