Pay It Forward

by Regina

I love doing random acts of kindness but I like it most when they are anonymous. I like to fill people's parking meters or pay for the car behind me at the toll booth. I also like buying the coffee for the person behind me at Dunkin Donuts.

I also like helping at Christmas. My friend and I buy lots of great stuff for some teens in the area that don't have anything and may be homeless.

My husband and I go through our clothes a couple of times a year and bag things that don't fit us anymore. We don't drop it off at Goodwill or the Salvation Army because they resell the items.

Instead, we drop them off in the same alley that we both lived in in the past (at separate times).

It certainly reminds me how blessed I am. I know what I do isn't going to affect the big picture, like cure hunger or keep everyone warm, but I hope that it touches one or two people.
