PLIGHT: Homeless Girl

MIMI'S STORY:
help homeless girl
Hi! My name is Anne Henning. I usually go by "Mimi", since it has been my nickname all my life. I am in Las Vegas, NV. I have a Siberian Husky with the most beautiful blue eyes. He is my best and only friend in the whole world. His name is Tundra.

Tundra and I have been homeless for over a year. I was temporarily disabled with two broken legs. I tried to get some type of assistance, but have not been able to get any help due to the fact that it was only a 5 month disability (not permanent). That was the start to my becoming a homeless girl.

I spotted a used 1977 Dodge camper van for $1800. It would be the answer to my prayers!

It would give Tundra and me a roof over our heads, out of the elements.

We would no longer have to sleep in bushes or behind abandoned buildings, worried about what might happen to us or afraid of who might approach us while we sleep out in the open.

It would give me transportation and a 'home base' so that I could get work.

It would be our HOME. It would be OURS. We would be safe, and no longer have to worry about what will happen to us or be afraid of who might harm us out in the open. I would no longer be a homeless girl.

I know that I could get back on my feet again if I just had this used camper van to use as a base, transportation, and safe shelter.

Please help us. You could make a difference that could change our lives. We need this in order to survive. It would be our home.

A kind soul helped me get this information sent in to the power-of-giving.com, helped me set up a paypal account, and took the photos for me to share with you.

We even got a picture of the camper van!

If we had this used camper van, it would change mine and Tundra's lives. We need angels. And I hope that some day I will be in a position to help others in need.

Thank you for listening.

Thank You
--Mimi

**** Mimi's thank you... ****

Thank you very much for all your time and effort. I have GREAT NEWS!!! I bought the motorhome!!! .
Tundra and I are now in AZ. It is BEAUTIFUL here. Tundra and I have a HOME!!! I am no longer a homeless girl. Again, I want to sincerely thank you for all of your help. When nobody else cared, you did, and that made all the difference. Thank You Connie!!! We are still not out of the woods, but we are on our way. Again, we have a HOME, which is all that I could pray for. I will stay in touch, and hope to one day contribute to someone on your website who needs help also. Thank you once again! If I never hear from you again, I will always remember your kindness.

Power of Giving is AMAZING Response
by: Connie

M W (Touched)

I was moved to tears myself when I received Mimi's note. My 5 year old son walked into the room, took one look at me and said, "Mommy, why are you crying?"

I said, "Don't worry honey, they're tears of happiness." He gave me a big hug and smiled.

Thank you for your words of kindness. It is you that are the inspiration.

Power of Giving is AMAZING
by: "Touched"

I was moved to tears and happiness reading both Mimi's story and her response back to you after achieving her first important goal for herself and Tundra.

The power of giving is truly amazing. There need to be more websites, organizations, and more people like you, Connie.

Humbling indeed. I will be linking to you from every single related website that I have.

Thank you!

I am so happy for Mimi and Tundra!

With peace, sincerity, gratefulness, and complete respect.

In Helping the Homeless - Homeless Charities
by: Connie

**Note from editor of power-of-giving.com - Mimi's story of being homeless is so brave we just had to reach out as one of our homeless charities and help her. After this website verified her identity we couldn't wait to get her entered as our Highlighted Recipient. Please tithe 5%, 10%, 20% or anything you can.
Remember: "If you continually give, you will continually have."

Thank You.
