Heat for my children

by Holly Carman
(Fostoria,Ohio seneca)

Richard and I have five children. I recently got vital meningitis and was in the hostipal for a week and doctors said it would take me three months to get better but it is taken me longer so my job is a caregaver I can't go back to until I am better and Richard went on medical for his knee.

We lost our home and moved in with some friends but now it time to leave there are to many people in the house.

I have paid rent and the deposite but my problem is that I have no money for the electric, gas, or water. It is getting cold out and we would love to live in our new place.

IF anyone can please help my family would greatly appreciate it very much.

Thank you so very much,
Holly Carman

NOTE FROM POWER OF GIVING EDITOR

Holly, I am very sorry to hear about your circumstances. It sounds though as if you may finally be turning it around and getting back on your feet.

You don't mention a dollar amount needed in your post. I am going to set your donation button up for $400 and see what we can collect for you.

Be sure to share this page with EVERYONE you can. It helps to get the donation ball rolling. Sometimes they come fast, sometimes it is a very slow process.

While you are waiting you may want to visit this Peer to Peer lending site. They are everyday people who offer personal loans (no banks)to people in similiar positions as yours.

Here is a little 'pick-me-up' for you...

The Victor
By C.W. Longenecker

If you think you are beaten, you are.
If you think you dare not, you don’t
If you like to win but think you can’t,
It’s almost a cinch you won’t.

If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost.
For out in the world we find
Success begins with a fellow’s will
It’s all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are.
You’ve got to think high to rise.
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win the prize.

Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man.
But sooner or later, the man who wins
Is the man who thinks he can.
