Giving Is Like Receiving For Me!

Just a couple months ago, I got tickets to see Todd Agnew and Rush of Fools in concert here at a local church. I was taking my 3 sons, hubby and parents and I had an extra ticket (my dad got called to work last minute).

So as we were at the door, a young girl walked in the door behind me and she asked the attendant if there were anymore tickets left for the concert...the gal told her she wasn't sure and she had to go to the Will Call. I turned around and handed her my extra ticket and said, "here you go." She was like "Oh can I pay you?" And I said, "nope it was just for you!"

I didn't expect anything, really, I just knew the ticket would go to waste anyway...well, she started just sobbing and telling me thank you and that God had prompted her to come. She had just broke up with her fiance that day and was so distraught and she just couldn't quit crying and thanking me. I was so overcome with so much love and thanks to Jesus for allowing me to be part of what she needed at that time...Todd Agnew rocked and I know her heart was comforted. And best yet, my kids stood there watching it all happen and they were like, "mom that was way nice."

So, I feel I was the one that got the benefit of it all...giving is like receiving for me!

Great Lesson on Giving
by: Anonymous

Great story! I love the fact that not only will the girl remember your gift of giving but also that your children learned a wonderful life lesson on the power of giving.
