Hello. My name is Jennifer. My family is in a desperate situation and we need to move. We can't afford the house we live in anymore and have to be out by 09/01/2008.

I am requesting assistance because my family has no money saved to make this move and we are in a desperate situation that we know we will never be able to overcome without some help.

Here is a little of my background and the main reasons why our family has hit such a financial crisis... I am a wife, mother, step-mother, & Grandmother. My husband & I have both worked very hard to support our family. But after his accident in June of 2002, our income DRASTICALLY decreased & we were forced to file for Bankruptcy.

Then in November of 2002, my husband suffered his first of 6 heart attacks. He has had three angioplasties; his last one was in November of 2006. He's a Diabetic w/heart problems & back problems & is struggling w/depression & anxiety issues due to his inability to provide for his family like he used to.

He visits the doctor on a monthly basis and is hospitalized about seven times per year. He takes 10 pills & 4 insulin shots daily which are not cheap and Medicare doesn't cover much anymore!

Due to his health he is disabled. I work full time as an office manager for a privately owned chiropractic office. Our combined income is barely enough to survive & with costs rising, it is getting harder to live.

Everything is past due or already cut off: 10k/medical; 5k/credit cards; $76/water; $122/propane; $176/phone; $172/cable; $70/electric; $2483/IRS; $2100/payday loans.

Gas prices are killing me! I drive 45 miles one-way to work just to have a job with a decent salary. I haven't been grocery shopping in 6 months, if I pay the rent or the bills then I can't afford to buy food!

I've tried everything to get a personal loan but my credit is horrible as you can imagine. I'm not looking for a hand out, just a second chance.

If anyone reading my story is willing to loan me the $5000.00, I would greatly appreciate it and be willing to make reasonable monthly payments plus interest. I try to remind myself that no matter how bad we have it, someone out there has it worse.

I am truly blessed in the way of family but unfortunately, that does not pay the bills, if it did, I'd be RICH!

I've been through many ups & downs with my family & many scary situations. I have almost lost my husband a few times but thankfully, God decided it wasn’t his time to go yet.

I've been homeless, jobless, auto less, hungry, hurt, and talked about, but my kids have not. I always help people when I can. Me and my husband have the biggest hearts, especially when it comes to kids & animals.

We've been fortunate enough to be able to help raise our nieces & nephews, take in homeless families & rehabilitate sick animals. Now my family needs help.

My favorite quote: "Be Generous & You Will Be Prosperous. Help Others & You Will Be Helped." Proverbs 11:25. If everyone who reads my story is generous enough to donate $1 or $5, then maybe we will be able to reach our goal so we will not be homeless.

Once we are in a place with cheaper rent, then I know I will be able to pay off the payday loans I have and I will be able to better provide for my family’s needs and create a more stable future for my children. $5,000.00 would cover all our moving costs, but whatever the amount, every little bit helps and it will put me in a better situation than I am now.

I believe that God only gives people as much as they can handle, so he must think I am a very strong person.

I hold on to my faith & hope for the sake of my children; they didn’t ask for this and they don’t deserve to be homeless or hungry.
