My Act of Giving Story...

While visiting a goodwill store, I noticed a young mother, grandmother and two beautiful children that were dirty from head to toe and only wore a diaper, no clothes or shoes.

As I gazed upon these beautiful children, their blonde hair ratted and not combed, my heart cried for them.

I was moved to pull a twenty dollar bill from my wallet that I planned on spending in the store and approached the grandmother.

I told her how adorable her grandchildren were and I wanted to buy them some clothes or shoes. The woman took the money with a nod.

I prayed that the grandmother use my small gift to care for the babies.

I've never forgotten those children and how beautiful they were despite the fact they were dirty and apparently lacking basic needs.

Give when you can. You never know how much joy your small act of giving can bring to someone's life.
