Random acts of kindness story entitled A Little Cup of Kindness: How often does this happen in Retail? Just got back from shopping and actually had a smile on my face.




I must have had that look of complete exhaustion on my face. Sitting waiting for that flat white and piece of banana cake(cream and all)I was staring out at nothing.

The waitress walked up to me with a smile(now that in itself is rare these days) and placed my much needed pick me up in front of me.

Then turning to my 7 year old granddaughter gobbling down her rainbow ice-cream, she placed the cutest little cup of ? with powered chocolate lavishly covering the top of the frothy brew, with marshmallows on the side!

Silly Nannie quietly exclaimed, "Oh, I didn't order that!"

Without hesitation she turned to me and said..."That's for being such a great Gran" Our compliments.

Now how did she know that!

I was so thrilled, funny that a tiny cup of what turned out to be frothy milk will always be remembered as a random act of kindness.

I do know that I will always call there for a cuppa when next I hit the shops...
